Did you hear that Avent plastic bottles should not be heated in a microwave? I was shocked when I read it. Apparently the microwaves degrade the plastic into harmful substances. I microwave milk in a glass and pour it into the Avent bottles when it's warm enough. This claim has been debunked for the most part in an article in Snopes which deems it mostly false. Well, I'm still not taking any chances and am sticking to glass microwaving, the additional effort for me is minimal, the potential harm to my son irreversible.
